Description:

A dark Gnome Theme. :-)

Extract the file Divinorum_Theme_Pack.tar.gz before installing.

Specific program settings
Here are some fixes for common problems using dark Gnome themes.

Firefox
If web forms and controls appear dark and unreadable you need to add the provided file "userContent.css" to the "chrome/" subfolder in your Firefox profile. It contains settings to get the default colors back.
Install the theme with Gnome Theme Manager and type the following in a terminal:

mv $HOME/.themes/Divinorum/userContent.css $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/chrome/

Note that the place of the chrome directory may vary on different Linux distributions.

Pidgin
In gaim/pidgin chat window there is black text on black background...
To fix this create a file named "gtkrc-2.0" in .purple dir in your home and put the following in it:

style "Custom"
{
base[NORMAL] = "#292B29"
}
class "GtkWidget" style "Custom"

Open Office 2
To get a white document background color instead of black, go to:

Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Appearance > Custom Colors > Document background

For dark themes Open Office 2 uses a high contrast icon theme (due to automatic icon settings). If you don't like this, do the following:

1. Open "Tools -> Options dialog -> OpenOffice.org -> View"

2. Change the icon theme from automatic/null to a different one.

Ubuntu
If you are using Ubuntu and buttons look wierd, it's necessary to install the package "gtk2-engines-pixbuf”. Type in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines-pixbuf

The same is valid for all the themes based on the engine "pixmap".

Gnome-Panel
You need to specify the background image for the panel(s) manually.

Right-click the panel and choose:
Properties > Background > Background image
and browse to /home/username/.themes/Divinorum/gtk-2.0/Panel.
Choose the panel-bg.png.

Thanks to nanoflower and Neutronium for providing the basis for this theme.

Changelog:

 forgot a font color?

It seems like you forgot to set one font color. I got the same problem with the "advanced desktop effects manager".
But i also got black on black in my VLC player and in my teamspeak quick connect window. Well not really black as i can read some text if i look closely but invisible from distance.

And, why do checkboxes have to be black too?

I really love your theme and i know what i have to type where. So ill go on using it. But it would be nice if you could fix this. If this is fixable.

This is the best black theme ever made! love it! There are bit of stuff to iron out like vlc player, volume applet control etc to get the colors right and it be good.

Hope you still work on it.

Good work author.

Actually, in my mod of this theme (Divinorum Cyan & Magenta), I fixed that by changing the following value in the gtkrc file:

style "default" {
bg[SELECTED] = "#3a3a3a" # changed from orig. Divinorum; fg color for GNOME vol control OSD's meter
}

Would be nice to see it "upstream" here as well. :)

Er, and by the way, that's the same colour used for the "unreadable" text in CCSM and some other apps. ;) No idea why it's a "bg" colour...

Might there be an orange version on the way?

What an awesome theme! Thank you, this is exactly what I imagined.

Question: What's this nice wallpaper on your screenshot? Is there anywhere I can get it?

Regards, Andre

Are you aware that the minimize/maximize buttons of windows are still blue hilighted in the green theme? That makes it kind of incomplete and choppy.

 Orange theme

I just went into gimp and made an orange theme from this theme. Wanted to let you know that I added it here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=70010

If you want, you can add it to yours, but it has a few other tweaks as well.

Hi there,

Like gavintlgold, I also made a mod of this great theme. Thanks for all your work, and I hope you don't mind me building off of it a little. :)

Divinorum Cyan & Magenta is here:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Divinorum+Cyan+%26+Magenta?content=71798

And no, it's not full-out cyan and magenta, for people who get a ghastly mental image from seeing the name. ;)
