I love some of the themes I've seen here.
Is there an Install Guide somewhere?
Thanks
Mat

If you finished the download you don't extract the file. Than you click the right mouse button on the background ("change the background"). If the window is open, you have to click "Themes" and then "Install".

what are you talking about?? he's not asking for how to set a pic as the background, hes asking for a guide for each theme how to set it up. so how would you set up a metacity theme, how would you set up a color theme, a bootspash theme and so on. most ppl would know how to change each of these themes, but not to a 3rd party theme from the internet. thats the guide he's asking for

what a shame there is no obvious place on this site to tell anyone (newbie) how to successfully install the themes. All us newbies need is a nice easy step by step approach telling us what to do.

Too much to ask?

 Install Guide Needed

Hay, how about an answer to the original question.

Step-by-step guide on how to install ANY theme from this site.

Including sound, background, whatever.

Actually there should be a "Install Guide" included in the "Artwork" sidebar.

 splash screen cursor

I installed the ultimate theme and it changed my cursor to a creepy penguin animation. I changed it back in the appearance settings but it remained the cursor during the login. I later uninstalled the ultimate theme but my login cursor is still different from the system theme, and I don't like it.

How can I change my login cursor back to DMZ white.

i don't change the cursor, because it never works right...
i'd try deleting it from ./.icons
(the hidden folder in the your directory).
then change it to DMZ White and log out and back in. see if that does anything.

 gtk menbar inactive

Hello
I hope there is an answer to this one.
I wanted to know if there is a way to make a different image for an inactive menubar, in metacity theming you can make the titlebar inactive with a different image but in gtk theming is there a way to do the same with the menubar?
I tried the different states as far as NORMAL, SELECTED, INSENSITIVE, PRELIGHT, ACTIVE for it but it only uses NORMAL for the image in the menubar itself, I was hoping on making a different image for that inactive menubar to match the metacity inactive theme.
Any help would be appreciated, I am using ubuntulooks pixmap engine.
